The Congers-Valley Cottage Volunteer Ambulance Corps is made up of people from all walks of life who share one purpose: a genuine desire to help others. That commitment leads each of us to give a portion of our free time to learning emergency medical skills, training until we perform at our best, and then serving on an ambulance crew to care for our neighbors when they are sick or injured.

The work is demanding, at times dangerous, and always unpredictable. Yet none of us would trade it. There is no greater reward than knowing that a person critically injured or gravely ill reached the hospital alive, with a better chance of survival because of the care we provided. It is a rewarding experience, knowing you have made a difference and perhaps even saved a life.
